This illustration I've been wanting to post for years... I'm not sure why I never did?
It's made by my household god Edward Gorey and describes a mysterious way of murdering - because how do you kill someone using confetti?
I don't know, but I want to!
Over the years I've also wanted to turn this illustration into a poster... which I haven't either. Fortunately we've yet to reach the end of time, unless we're set in a state of dreaming. I'm not ruling that out.
Probably you haven't scrutinized my labels, but in the unlikely event that you have, you've noticed there's one called confetti - inexplicable, and it's of course an homage to Edward Gorey and this illustration. I use it for nonsense and things I don't make sense of, on purpose or just by default.
Also... my oh so silent thoughts on methods and methodology have turned into thoughts of using concepts to shape entire projects... Writing it it sounds banal, of course you should, why wouldn't you?
I suppose I mean more consciously, and sort of playing with the idea of letting a concept shape a project more than a project the concept. Form and idea should always be integrated.
Method, methodology and concept have like a mirror turned to reflect this blog, and I ask myself:
Should I redo it? What is a blog, what could it be and what do I want it to be? And perhaps most importantly: My blog doesn't have to be what other blogs are.
