Tonight and tomorrow Colouroïd stand by the Traktor decks!
Thursday at the Museum of Modern Art and Friday at Babajan, Katarina Bang 75, Stockholm.
At the weekend we're free...

The Glenn has been revamping our web page for future flexibilities. Hopefully we'll have a new tune ready soon as well, and a video to go with it, where filmed material like this and the C O L O U R O Ï D letters might appear...

Come Mittwoch you kinda miss everything about the weekend.

Me and the Glenn consider ourselves to be holiday pros - ! - and our weekend breakfasts, the start of the weekly holidays, are long and delicious, and almost always including a backgammon game, or three, that he usually wins.

These beautiful photos show the British Ladies' Football Club at it at Loakes Park, High Wycombe, Great Britain. It's the 11th November 1895. The photos come from here, and the photos in this article in Swedish magazine Bang inspired me to find them.

This week is special: Wednesday two of my shorts are being screened at Sem;colon festival (see previous post), Thursday Colouroïd DJs at the premiere of club M/S at the Modern Museum and Friday we DJ again at Babajan where we're regulars! Friday is also the premiere for the tinkering club (pysseljuntan) and all of this makes me a happy, happy girl.

Wednesday, my first two animated movies "Squariebearies and the Last Night on Earth" and "Love will get me through the Week" are being screened on Sem;colon short film festival at Grand, Sveavägen 45, Stockholm, 5.30 p.m. The festival will also produce a DVD with all the movies. It will be lovely to see my oldest films in a new packaging and context.

Isn't the moon globe in Frau im mond lovely? Ooh, I would love to have my own. Could I please also get to go to Brighton? The ocean and the ocean wind is calling, I long to walk along the shoreline with my Glenn. Did you by any chance watch the documentary Man on wire? It's lovely, and crazy, poetic and annoying, and the archive material of the constructing of the Twin Towers a dream.

LET ME INTO YOUR SECRET WORLD PLEASE

For my friend Maya's 30th birthday, I got her this quirky little book. It's probably meant to be haha funny, but to me it's a glimmering thing of magic. I want to step into this fairy tales world where everyday chores and pleasures are of your own design.
"Created in the spirit of anarchy, unuseless inventions are not allowed to be patented or sold." Loveliness.

SILLY SILLY

My wallet was stolen and now I can't sleep. Staying up, I put this pattern together. Everything feels so stupid.

I look forward to the weekend - although I'm already hungover - . This is one of the few weekends where we're not DJing. Thursday the 30th we play at the Modern Museum though, and that makes me very excited. And tomorrow my oldest friend that I still regularly see has her 30th birthday! Good things are a-coming, tralala. I'm starting to feel less worried, and more creative. It's a good thing.

One of my favourite sweaters, and good vintage friend through autumn. It puts a smile on the faces of my friends.

Looking at the laundry laid out to dry, thinking about Televerket's (Sweden's national phone service, today Telia)
old logo (I like flashes!), quietly listening to Andy Oppenheimer's "Cold war" in my head. It's a Thursday indeed.

Legend has it, these were my very first shoes. It feels like a very Northern thing to do, to equip your baby with clogs.

I stole this quotation from Black sheep boy #4.

Yesterday I bumped my head into a shelf at a second hand shop, and the old woman (I won't call her lady)
standing next to me whispered to me: "That serves you right!"

("Det var rätt åt dig!")

STUPIDITY

Yesterday I had to walk off my anger, sorrow and fear over what kind of society we are creating.

Already people, many who've worked their whole lives, are being cut off from their sickness benefits by the national social insurance, being informed that they are fit for work whereas their doctors state that's not the case. With their money cut off, unable to get a job and unable to work, they turn to the social welfare office who tell them they have to sell their flat and spend that money before they can get any help. The right wing government have made it near impossible to get a rental flat so people have had to buy them. Forced to sell their homes, these long time ill people end up in the street or a psychiatric institution because of the stress, since they can't get an income, nowhere to live or any help - before they are destitute.

The icing on the cherry is that people have voted in the racist party Sweden democrats in order to "punish the government", for some reason unable to realize that they are punishing themselves and everybody else in doing so. Even my mother, who hasn't voted for them, was yesterday so content that the ruling alliance "hadn't got everything the way they wanted it".

All I can add to this is a long list of curse words.
