The colours of these faded roses reminded me of Snow White and kitschy 60's paintings of exotic sexy women. You know which ones I mean. It's a faded autumn beauty, and about the same colour story.
In my childhood home we had big needlepoint pictures that my mother had made - so much patience and work! One portrayed a Flamenco scene, and one a snowy landscape where a company on a horse sled were being chased by wolves. I used to make up stories about them.
Inspired by roses, I decided to find me some Snow Whites - and one exotic lady:
